FOCAL SCRIPTURES - 1 KINGS 5:4. 1 SAMUEL 30:1-3 and 2 Kings 4: 14-37
EXCERPTS:
* It is well means it's okay, everything is alright with us. There is all round joy and peace.
* It is not well is when things are not working well, there is no peace, no joy and there's weeping and mourning.
This morning I came to announce to you that it is well with you and you will not weep anymore.
* This season God is going to give you rest on every side. In your business, academics, family, etc.
* Solomon had all wars fought for him by his father king David and so he reigned in peace throughout his tenure. He declared that it was indeed well with him. 1 Kings 5:4
God is saying you will not weep anymore.
Every plot of the enemy to make you weep is cancelled.
There are many reasons people cry which may be okay. People may cry while seeing a pathetic movie or reading a pathetic book,they can cry where light is directed to their eyes. Some when they have an encounter with the Holy spirit. Some shed tears even when they laugh so hard. Some shed tears when they are so happy. The tears that comes from a broken heart that shows that all is not well. God will take such tears away from you in Jesus name.
In 1 Samuel:29, David had gone with his men to the Achish in battle but the Philistines asked Achish to send him back so that he might not turn against them.
As David and his men returned, he found out that the Amalekites had invaded the land and captured the women and children.
David cried so much that he had no power to weep.2 Samuel 30:1-3
Beloved, the enemies made a man of valour to cry.
The enemies can make dedicated christians, servants of God to cry but I came to tell you you will not cry.
The Shunnamite woman must have cried when she did not have a child. She later had a child at old age and the child died making her cry again.(2 Kings 4:14-20)
What ever wants you to cry again is cancelled in Jesus name.
*SOME CAUSES OF SORROWFUL TEARS*
1. The enemy; raiders, invaders
They invade and capture to make people cry .
2. When joy is taken away
3.loss of lives or valuables
4.Sad news
5. Poverty
6. Suffering
7 when there's no peace
*TO STOP TEARS*
1.*BUILD AND MAINTAIN A STRONG RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD*.
* Be sure to communicate with him regularly.
* Bible says, David enquired from the Lord to know the exactly step he should take.( 1 Sam 30:7-8)
2.*GUARD WHAT YOU HAVE THROUGH PRAYERS*
David must have left his family unguarded. You need to guard your home, family, business in the place of prayer. Even when you are not with them guard them against captors.
* Raise an altar and intercede on behalf of your family.
* The Woman of Shunem interceded for her son. She pleaded with the prophet to come with her(2Kings 4: 27-30)
3. *TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART*
* David encouraged himself in the Lord apparently knowing that God will not let him down in his days of trouble. ( 1Sam 30:6).If you don't trust God you can't encourage yourself in the Lord.
4.*PUT YOUR FAITH TO WORK*. Luke 8:25.
* Jesus challenged His disciples for lack of faith in Him. He asked them, where is your faith?
* You need to have your own faith, believing that you will not weep.
Isaiah 30:19
*Truly, O people in Zion, inhabitants of Jerusalem, you shall weep no more. He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when he hears it, he will answer you.*
Psalms 30:11
* I declare to you this season that God will grant you rest and peace on every side. He will take away whatever wants you to weep.
Like Solomon you will declare that all is well with you.
