The reality of the Leadership tussle has been put to rest yesterday January 23rd, 2024.
At a well attended meeting held at the instance of His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Ntufam Bassey Edet Otu; Executive Governor of Cross River State and presided by the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Cross River State Hon. Emmanuel Ironbar. The CoS, extensively gave a proper narration and criteria of who a Local Government Leader should be, he then summarized that Chief Victor Felix Idem is the rightful Natural Leader of the Local Government of Calabar Municipality.
The CoS then stainly warn all those parading themselves as Leaders to restrain from it or face the rod of the State Government.
We therefore Congratulate our Leader like no other, Chief Victor Idem, we pray God grants him the enablement to lead the good people of Calabar Municipality aright.
Its also said in the bible "when the righteous rule, the people rejoice". Indeed we are experiencing the true season of sweetness, the unity, the preparedness for the future.
Chief Idem's open door policy and steadfastness is next to non, His Excellency, had a better foresight to have appointed Chief Idem as a true representative of Calabar Municipality.
The days of onesideness rulership is over, there is a true fresh air in Municipality and we know God will sustain it as we consolidate to gain the dividends of Democracy.
