The indefatigable leader of the All Progressives Congress in South- South Nigeria, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, yesterday 20th April, 2024 hosted a strategic meeting of all APC South -South Executive Committee Members and other critical stakeholders in Calabar. The Inaugural meeting was interactive and thought-Provoking, aimed at repositioning and reclaiming all States in the South-South Nigeria for the All Progressives Congress.
Governor Bassey Otu who also doubles as the Zonal Coordinator raised pertinent concerns about APC in the South-South of Nigeria, he also stated vehemently that APC stakeholders must continue to put their best foot forward in order to strengthen the Party in the region.
Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba who is the leader of the Cross River State Caucus and the Secretary of the South - South Caucus in the House of Representatives applauded Governor Bassey Otu for bringing all stakeholders of the party together to brainstorm on how to attain the laudable feat of making the All Progressives Congress in South- South Nigeria to have its pride of place at the Center.
He further described Governor Otu as a mobilizational machine and he affirmed that he has no doubt that he will lead the South-South APC to achieve monumental exploits. He reiterated that All the Eight Members of the House of Representatives from Cross River State will continue to stand by Governor Bassey Otu to give him the unflinching support required to change the narrative and for him to continue to be celebrated as the champion of APC in the South-South.
According to Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba the entire South- South is proud to have an administrator, a cerebral leader and an astute political juggernaut as their leader. Adding that Governor Otu is known nationwide for his meticulous disposition in all assignments that has been committed to him and APC stakeholders in the South- South have no doubt that he will lead the South progressively towards achieving a more united front in all ramifications.
The APC South -South Zonal Executive Committee Members were led by the National Vice Chairman South- South Hon. Victor Tombari Giadom, KSC. The auspicious occasion also had the APC State Chairmen Of Akwa Ibom, Edo and Zonal leaders present.
Part of the intriguing deliberations was how to put modalities in place to ensure the effective Organization of the APC Zonal Congress that will be coming up some time in MAY or JUNE 2024. We look forward with bated breath for the new initiatives and innovations from His Excellency Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu as the Zonal Coordinator and the leader of the All Progressives Congress in South- South Nigeria
