On Saturday, March 30th, 2024, I had the honor of attending the funeral ceremony of the late Lt Daniel Obo Rtd, father of Comrade Dan Obo Jnr, the chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Cross River State. The ceremony, held at the Obubra township stadium, was a solemn gathering where many paid their respects to the retired military officer.
In a condolence message to the family, I emphasized the significant contributions of the deceased to his community, local government, and state. Lt Daniel Obo was not just a soldier but also a community leader and philanthropist who will be greatly missed for his love and service.
I urged the family to take solace in the legacy of service and commitment left behind by Lt Daniel Obo. His dedication to the upliftment of others, his strength as a family man, and his leadership qualities serve as inspiration to us all.
