Ekeng Inyang Ekeng, born on October 8 in Bakassi, Cross River State, Nigeria, has a rich background shaped by his community. He received his early education at Lutheran Primary School and later attended Saint Patrick’s College and The Royal Integrated College. Ekeng graduated with distinction in Accountancy from the Cross River University of Technology (now UNICROSS), further enhancing his qualifications with certifications in administration, computer applications, and human resource management.

Ekeng is a devoted Christian, married to Mrs. Njuare Ekeng Inyang, and a proud father of two children. His leadership abilities were evident during his student years, serving as president of several associations, including the National Association of Calabar South Students and Southern Cross River State Students. He was also coronated as the paramount ruler of all Efik Students at CRUTECH.

Professionally, Ekeng is a successful businessman in the hospitality sector of Cross River State. He was appointed Special Assistant to Governor Ben Ayade on Strategic Communications in 2019, a role he excelled in until 2023. Reappointed by Governor Bassey Otu as Special Assistant on New Media, he continues to lead digital communications efforts for the state. In 2024, Ekeng was elected Chairman of the Special Assistant Forum, further highlighting his leadership.

Ekeng’s legacy includes significant contributions to student leadership, business, and public service, making him a highly respected figure in Cross River State.

His decision to run as Chairman, Bakassi Local Government Area is born out of his unprecedented love for community development.
