His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Asiwaju, South-South Spokesman, Honorable Chief Bill Francis Bill, strongly reacts to Dangote Refinery's fuel price hike to 898 naira.
This is unacceptable and a clear injustice to Nigerians, especially the South-South region, which is the backbone of our nation's economy (crude oil). We are blessed with crude oil, refineries, and resources, yet forced to buy fuel at an exorbitant price. This exploitation and price gouging must end.
During President Buhari's tenure, fuel prices were stable at 180 naira, but now it has skyrocketed to 898 naira. This is unacceptable and indicates insensitivity. Nigerians are suffering; we cannot remain silent. I demand you address this issue and find a solution benefiting our people, not just a few individuals.
This Demon Dangote price hike is an injustice; we will not accept it. I call on all Nigerians to join me in rejecting this unfair price and demanding a better deal. We deserve fair prices, not exploitation.
I urge you, Mr. President, to investigate Dangote Refinery and end this exploitation. I supported you 50% and support Nigerians 50%, expecting you to act in our best interest.
Mr. President, encourage Nigerians to build their own refineries. If an individual can build a refinery, why can't we, as a nation, come together to build our own? Our people's suffering is too much; we don't know what to tell them come 2027.
Let us take control of our resources and destiny. Let us build our own refineries and determine our own prices. This is the only way to break free from exploitation and ensure a better future.
Furthermore, if our country can afford a private jet worth billions, a yacht, and luxuries, then we can afford to build refineries for Nigerians. Our people are suffering and dying daily, crying out to me, 'Chief Hon. Bill, you supported Asiwaju Tinubu, what's going on?'
I implore you, Mr. President, don't let us have nothing to tell Nigerians come 2027. The people are angry, dying, hungry, and frustrated. Remember, a hungry man is always an angry man. Act now, or face the consequences in 2027.
