Eriacy Confidence Oba is a budding entrepreneur whose strides in the Media industry have changed many narratives in Cross River State. He is an innovative, industrious and multi-talented young man from Yala-Obubra,who is driven by an unwavering commitment to contribute meaningfully to the growth and progress of his people. Through his experience and leadership, he has answered the clarion call to offer himself for service to the people of Ofumbongha/Yala Ward as Councillor to bring about a robust and quality representation, going by his antecedents.
*EDUCATION:"*
Eriacy began his education at St. Eugene Primary School, Ochon, where he earned his First School Leaving Certificate, and later obtained his Senior School Certificate from Nta-East Secondary School, Oyenghe before proceeding to the prestigious University of Calabar. Before this, Eriacy attended St. Franklin Model College, where he served as the Senior Prefect, inspiring his peers with exceptional intelligence and leadership skills.
In 2017, Eriacy embarked on his Media Career by publishing the first edition of Coneri Magazine, a tourism and cultural compass, followed by the launch of Coneri Blog, the online version. His passion, dedication and hard work have seen him thrive in various media roles, including:

After several years of media advocacy, Eriacy has contributed as a freelancer to various local and national newspapers and magazines, including the Authority Newspaper, published by the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah. Currently, he is a Media Consultant to numerous politicians, celebrities, entrepreneurs, in addition to being a proud Author of two books, Pathways To Stardom and Breakthrough Reading Skills. As the Publisher of Coneri Blog, Eriacy has significantly contributed to the growth of the online media industry in Nigeria and has earned several accolades.

In the field of tourism and events, Eriacy Confidence Oba has developed sustainable and creative concepts that have helped promote and preserve the tourism, agricultural and cultural heritage of Cross River State. Some of his innovative projects include the Okpambe Fishing Festival, the Moninkim Festival, Miss Southern Nigeria Beauty Pageant/Southern Nigeria Achievers Award, and Miss Cross River Beauty Pageant. His influence has been so impactful that the government of Cross River has adopted his brainchild, the Okpambe Fishing Festival of Yala-Obubra, as a state event.
In the entertainment industry, Eriacy has demonstrated his talent and passion as a Screenwriter, Actor, Producer, and Director. His Nollywood journey began in 2013 with the production of Yala Kingdom, one of the first professional films shot in Obubra, a project that introduced local talents to Nollywood and promoted the area’s cultural heritage. Eriacy has worked on several remarkable film projects, including, Book of Cifa, Mega Mama, Mama on the Run, Facebook Queens,The Escape Route, Chioma the Entrepreneur, The Professional, Mara, Missing Church, Unknown Document and many others, featuring renowned actors like Pete Edochie, Patience Ozokwor, Chiwetalu Agu, Ngozi Ezeonu, and others too numerous to mention.

He played a key role in reviving the Yala-Obubra Students Association (YOSA) and was instrumental in helping his community produce the first-ever Secretary-General of the Federation of Obubra Students Association Worldwide. His commitment to youth development, job creation, entrepreneurship, and human empowerment has led him to initiate numerous programs that continue to champion the development of his community and by extension the ward.
Also, Eriacy is known for his selfless and philanthropic contributions. He has provided School fees and financial support to many students, including primary school pupils, enabling them to pursue their educational goals. Additionally, he has facilitated countless opportunities for youths in Ofumbongha/Yala ward in particular and Obubra in general, helping them access training, mentorship, and career development pathways. His generosity and commitment to youth empowerment have transformed the lives of many young people, ensuring that they have the tools and opportunities needed to succeed.
In addition, he has helped several individuals and families to benefit from some of the empowerment programs undertaken by his principal, Rt. Hon. Mike Etaba and other leaders, the latest being the distribution of Agricultural inputs.
Through his various roles and projects, Eriacy Confidence Oba continues to inspire, empower and promote his people and community, leaving a lasting impact on Cross River State and beyond.
