OBUBRA WINDSTORM: H.E OTU, RT.HON.MIKE ETEBA & HON OVAT DISTRIBUTE FEDERAL RELIEF MATERIALS TO VICTIMS.




The Cross River State government through State Emergency Management Agency SEMA in collaboration with National Emergency Management Agency NEMA send some food items as relieved materials for the victims affected by the windstorm disaster in Obubra Urban and it's adjoining communities.
 
The member representing Obubra 1 Hon. Ovat Dickson Agbor, who also facilitated the process by writing to His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, the executive Governor, other relevant MDAs and raising the matter up in the floor of the 10th Assembly as a matter of urgent public importance.

While speaking at the distribution exercise, Hon. Ovat conveyed his unreserved gratitude to the the people's Governor Sen. Prince Bassey Otu, for always keeping to his promises, and working deliberately to ensure the  State retains it's former status. He thanked the DG SEMA and the NEMA director for their swift response and working in compliance with the vision of his Excellency the governor.

The law maker once again sincerely commiserated with all families that were affected by the windstorm disaster. He explained that, this wouldn't solve the problems let alone fixing the devastating losses we had recorded but however, the governor in his wisdom is working tirelessly putting up modalities to bring succour to the challenging issues.

He adjoint them to stay calm so to do an equitable distribution.
The food palliatives distribution started orderly but in the long run, some group of youths jumped in, and started struggling the items. 

With the help of the police officers and other concerned citizens, the tension was curbed, and those who were unable to get their items were referred to go to Mr. Ebenezer Obase's house to claim their items. @highlight
