Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator (Associate Prof) Stephen Odey, yesterday presented his award for Proactive and Excellent Reporting Commissioner in Nigeria to the Governor, Sen Prince Bassey Edet Otu at his temporary office in Calabar.
The prestigious award was conferred on Sen Odey by the National Council on Education.
Impressed by the achievement, the Governor, encouraged Senator Odey to continue his exemplary work in the education sector.
Recall that the award was jointly presented by Professor Tahir Mamman, OON, SAN, former Honourable Minister of Education, and Dr. Nasir Sani-Gwarzo, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, at the 68th National Council on Education meeting on October 10, 2024, at Abuja, FCT. The award was accompanied by an iPad prize.
